China Kitchen is without a doubt the best Chinese food in Green Bay. My family has been ordering from there for 10+ years now, and have never had a bad order. We consistently order the Crab Rangoons, the General Tso's Chicken, Beef w/broccoli and the Shrimp lo mien. All 3 dishes are made fresh and are not oily or greasy like most other places. The General Tso's is crispy, yet tender inside and beef w/broccoli has tender meat with and crispy vegetables, not all soggy and gross. And last, the shrimp always taste fresh which is very easy to distinguish with seafood. I'm not quite sure what happened with the other folks that gave poor reviews, off days, never happened to us. Anyway, have no fear, order from China Kitchen with confidence and know that you're gonna get really good food!

We ordered food at 8:37 and it is 9:58 and it is still not here. They are 3 miles away from my house. We called twice and once they said he was ten minutes away. That was 20 minutes ago. Will NEVER order from here again!

Low cost, basic, and tasty food. Speedy service when getting pick up or delivery. Have been going to them for 7 years and have no plans to stop.

Okay, so a few of us decided to order China Kitchen for work. This was my first time trying the food here. And tbh, I really don't know why I keep trying the Chinese food in Green Bay. It's mostly been super disappointing. I got the chicken lo mein lunch special. It came with pork fried rice. I will give them this: the food arrived very fast and it was still piping hot when we got it. That is why this is 2/5 and not 1/5. Also, the pork fried rice was much more fresh than Mayflower's... so that was a pleasant surprise. But my lo mein... why was it pink?! My lo mein consisted of pink, slippery spaghetti noodles and pink bits of chewy, old chicken. Nothing else. I literally counted, there were only 2 pieces of veggies in there. Where are the veggies?! No wonder it's so cheap, they can't even stick a dang carrot in there?? Please do me a favor and stop calling this lo mein. And get this, the taste was average, it actually has more flavor than most sauces other Asian food places use in the area (my standards since moving here have plummeted LOL) but seriously what on earth? Just strange... I snuck a bite of the cream cheese wontons and they were surprisingly pretty decent. But I can see why everyone else including me had an issue with the entrees. I guess if you want something greasy, fast/and/or have low standards this is your place.

Terrible! We ordered take out....tofu was like rubber and my daughter said, it was gritty. I thought she was being picky so I tried it and indeed...dirt was present...unwashed veggies? My appetizer of boneless spare ribs had long black hair wrapped around two pieces...It was nasty, nasty I lost my appetite. We will never order this disgusting crap again and frankly a call to health department may be in order.

Although the food was ready very quick, the quality of the food wasn't the best. Ordered the General Tso's Chicken, and it was not like any other Tso's I have ever had. It lacked sauce and it tasted more like barbecue chicken. Also ordered the crab rangoon and they reminded me of what the "crab rangoon guy" cart sold us in college -- (only good when you have been drinking all night). I will not be going back to this restaurant again. One more note, they claim to be low price and more food for the money, but I can name at least three other GB Chinese restaurants that are less expensive AND taste better.

I thought even despite the reviews that this place might be ok.. But no.. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. 0 stars!!!!! My boyfriend and I ordered a large order of orange chicken and large order of noodles. And some crab rangoons.. The chicken was old and chewy.. The dish that was supposed to be noodles was vegetables..the white rice was crunchy..the crab rangoons were cold.. So I called them and told them all of what was wrong with the order and that we were very disappointed. The man on the phone said you can bring it back and we will remake it. I brought it back and at that point we decided we just wanted our money back. They refused to give us our money back AND refused to remake it. I am appalled by the lack of respect. There is absolutely NO customer service here. Not to mention the head chef yelling angrily in Chinese about the whole thing (Like I don't know he was talking shit).

Ordered a delivery of General Tso's Chicken, Orange Chicken, and Seasme Chicken. The sauce for all 3 was burned and nasty. The chicken was gross, I spit instantly. Nasty little brown chunks of meat and fat off a leg or thigh with a tendon for good measure. Order took about an 1hr 15min to arrive, it had obviously spent most of that time in the driver's car. Not very warm and after just sitting that long it was mushy and gross. We paid by credit and when my fiance put $0 for the tip on this disgusting pile of food, the driver's response was, "what you no pay more?". After which we believe he swore at us in another language while leaving. I called the store to complain, my complaint was not handled well. All I could hear in the background were people yelling at each other. Mostly not in english. After spending 10min listening to this guy telling me they made and served my order the same way they do everyone else's.... I had heard enough. He even tripped up and back-peddled after admitting the orders get pushed out fast and sit around in the car while being delivered and they can't guarantee we will be the first stop because they have only 1 driver tonight. After informing him the proper steps would be to hire more drivers if needed or wait to cook the food until the driver is ready to take it, he told me I was wrong and that's not how the system works. You admit you're running your business wrong and then tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. Absolutely no understanding, or care, that their food sucks. The best offer they gave me was discount on my next order. There will be no next order.

I think you can tell how good a take-out Chinese place is by the way they do their General Tso's Chicken. It's a mainstay take-out dish and one of this establishment's "house specialties" according to a poster hanging on their wall. This is the second worst General Tso's I've ever had (the first being the Chinese place on Washington by the old Washington Commons - I took one bite of that and threw it out, but this is *just* serviceable enough to eat). I thought it may be a fluke so I got it a second time and it just like this all the time. They must use the scraps of chicken left over from other dishes. It's little bits (most smaller than popcorn chicken) and its covered in a gloppy coating (I wouldn't venture to call it a sauce) that is the consistency of old paint you douse in chemicals to remove. It tastes like burnt barbecue sauce. I've not yet found a superior take-out General Tso's in Green Bay yet, but Sunny's Chinese Noodle House on Velp and Mayflower on Military are far better than this. China Gate in Kimberly and China Buffet on Northland Avenue in Appleton have the best in Northeast Wisconsin, in my opinion. But I guess that's me -- I like tender chicken and flavorful, appetizing sauce. As for the joint itself, it's not in great shape. It's kind of dirty looking, and the staff there don't seem to be doing this because they love food. It always looks like their kitchen is on auto-pilot and they're just turning out orders. The buffet side, shown in the pictures, if it existed in the past must be closed down. It was dark at lunchtime and the view through the cracked open doorway looked like the steam tables have been dismantled. I'm guessing this ship is sinking fast. Much as I love Chinese food, I'd drive cross town for Mayflower or Sunny's, even if I was short on time, rather than go here again.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
